To the ancient Egyptians, what we think of as “just words” are representation and materialisation that have real effect in the real world. In fact, the power of words is vital to Egyptian magic; so much so that we can think of it as a defining characteristic.
From the very beginning, Isis is associated with words. She is the Lady of Words of Power. She is the Great Enchantress. She commands magic by means of her words. She chants and we are enchanted. As Isis is in command of Words of Power, she is called Great of Magic and the Goddess of Magic. In a forgotten register of the Temple of Hathor, Denderah, is a tiny scene that describes the time of the return of goddess. It is here, two goddess, two paths solve the shadows of humanity. It is here we see Seth (evil) impaled by Isis and Nephtys. Isis and Nephys combine in unimaginable force and magic that goddess commands ressurection of eternity and right path over evil.
There are two main resurrection myths in the Osirian myth cycles whose origins we find in the Pyramid Texts. The “Horus-Seth” myth and the “Osiris-Seth” myth. These are the pathways that regenerate our original creation story, and dreams of ancestors and star races.
In the Pyramid Texts Osiris, a king, is killed by his brother, Seth. Eternity is destroyed, dismembered and lost. Osiris is found by by grieving Aset and Nebhet. The Great Mother and Goddess Isia locates eternity and Osiris is magically restored in mummification, ritual and ceremony. Thus restoring eternity and ancestors. The Ancient Egyptians describe this as The Field of Reeds. We can compare suffering with Isis upon the death of her dismembered eternity, Osiris. Like Isis humanity is wandering, seeking divine love that has destroyed. Humanity has many sacred parts to resurrect to restore the beauty of sacred existence again.
The Seth-Horus myth initiates as Horus inherits the trauma archetypes of unhealed legacy of his father Osiris's battle with Seth and evil. Upon having his Eye restored, Horus offers it to Osiris as protection against Seth’s violence. This Eye of Horus is humanity’s memory of right and good.
Horus brings the conquered Seth (destroyed chaos and evil) and his confederates before Osiris in a display of Order over Chaos. This is the path of divine evolution and our place within the stars protected by right choice and protection of goddess Hathor, his consort. Hathor is love, beauty, fertility, procreation, sex, maternity, guardian of dead souls, gatekeeper of the underworld, ecstasy, travel, extreme protection, dance and music as worship of the Gods. In ancient Egypt the pyramids in myth, science and spirituality- are designed to ignite and protect the journey of the soul for an eternity. With Cosmology and Order restored, Osiris is king of the Duat and Horus becomes king over the living. This is pivotal to understanding the function of temples and pyramids.
In our personal and collective evolution lessons we encounter the same initiations of the First Gods, we are indeed all the first born of the gods in time. This story of humanity is stored in ancient Egypt’s extraordinary archeological archives. This initiation path opens doors to advanced civilisation.
